Vacation Tip #2: Timing is Everything

Start your Virginia Beach vacation off on the right flip flop! Avoid rush hour traffic and save yourself a lot of time and energy.

Between May and September, Fridays are a busy travel day for vacationers headed to the beach. If you must travel on a Friday, plan to arrive before 4:30pm or after 8pm. Even better, start your vacation on a Thursday or Saturday; you'll avoid traffic and save money!

If you have to travel on Friday, we have put together a list of cities and recommended departure times. Don't forget to add extra time for pit stops.
